Winter Check-Out: (October to April) Set the Mini-split systems in the basement, master bedroom, and upstairs living room/kitchen to heat, in economy mode and set the minimum temperature to 65° F. If you used any of the back-up heaters (the ones with the digital thermostats on the walls), then set their temperatures back down to 55° F.
*WINTER NOTE* The electric forced-air heaters that are controlled by the digital thermostats on the walls are only for back-up heating when outside temperatures drop below -5° F for more than 3 hours. The Mini-Split units that are controlled with the remote controls are much more efficient heaters and should always be used first.
